B1 Racist tie suspected in anti-abortion blitz By Carla Wilson, Times-Colonist Staff Anti-abortion materials apparently connected to a white supremacist organization are showing up downtown and at UVic. Posters plastered on the outside of Everywomans Books on Johnson Street bear the same Victoria post office box address as anti-abortion pamphlets and a racist sticker found at the university. Although all share a common address, only the UVic materials state they are from an organization called the Canadian Front. The bookstore's glass windows and door were plastered with 27 crude black-and-white posters and cartoons on Monday morning, marking the third time since June the shop has been targeted with anti-abortion posters. A CAnadian Front sticker stating, "White unity, white survival," was found Monday at UVic's student union building, said a student society director. A swastika and an SS logo were on the sticker. The sticker is similar to ones found by others downtown, he said. The Canadian Front is also listed on stacks of anti-abortion pamphlets found in two newspaper boxes at UVic's student union building Monday, he said. ... In the past few months, white supremacist materials with a Nebraska address have shown up on Oak Bay Avenue near Pandora Avenue, Peters said. [balance deleted]
