Filename convention: The volume number of the British TGMWC series appears in the second field - i.e. "tgmwc-01-01-something" indicates material from the first volume. The third field indicates the trial day. The fourth field indicates the part number of the file, as there will usually be numerous files required to contain the full transcripts for each day, for convenience. Each "something" suggests the title of the chapter transcribed. Thus the file "tgmwc-06-58.01" is from Volume 06 of the series, and contains transcripts of the 58th day of the Tribunal. The *.01 indicates Part One of a series of files containing that day's transcripts: tgmwc-06-58.01 | | | | | | | +----> Part One | | +-------> Day 58 of the Tribunal | +----------> Volume 6 of the series +--------------> (See below) The Trial of German Major War Criminals Proceedings of The International Military Tribunal Sitting At Nuremberg Germany Part 6 14th February, 1946 to 26th February, 1946 Taken From The Official Transcript Published Under The Authority of the Attorney-General By His Majesty's Stationery Office London: 1946
