1. Die Alliierten Untersuchungskommissionen haben bisher
    festgestellt, dass in folgenden Konzentrationslagern
    keine Menschen mit Giftgas getoetet wurden:
    Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald, Dachau, Flossenbuerg, 
    Gross-Rosen, Mauthausen und Nebenlager, Natzweiler,  
    Neuengamme, Niederhagen (Wewelsburg), RavensBruek,
    Sachsenhausen, Stutthof, Theresienstadt.
    In diesen Faellen konnte nachgewiesen werden, dass Ge-
    staendnusse durch Folterungen erpresst wurden und Zeugen-
    aussagen falsch waren.
    Dies ist bei den KV-Erhebungen und Einvernnahmen zu be-
    ruecksichtigen.
    Ehemalige KZ-Haeftlinge, welche bei Einvernahmen Angaben
    ueber die Ermordung von Menschen, insbesondere von Juden,
    mit Giftgas in diesen KZ machen, ist dieses Untersuchungs-
    ergebnis zur Kenntnis zu bringen.  Sollten sie weiter auf
    ihre Aussagen bestehen, ist die Anzeige wegen falsher
    Zeugenaussage zu erstatten.

2. Im RS 15/48 kann P. 1 gestrichen werden.

1.  The Allied Commissions of Inquiry have so far established that no

    people were killed by poison gas in the following concentration 
    camps:  Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald, Dachau, Flossenbuerg, Gross-
    Rosen, Mauthausen and its satellite camps, Natzweiler, Neuengamme,
    Niederhagen (Wewelsburg), Ravensbrueck, Sachsenhausen, Stutthof,
    Theresienstadt.
    In those cases, it has been possible to prove that confessions had been
    extracted by tortures and that testimonies were false.
    This must be taken into account when conducting investigations and 
    interrogations with respect to war crimes.
    The result of this investigation should be brought to the cognizance of
    former concentration camp inmates who at the time of the hearings
    testified on the murder of people, especially Jews, with poison gas
    in those concentration camps.  Should they insist on their statements,
    charges are to be brought against them for making false statements.

The above is a transcription of a document first published in 
1987 in an Austrian magazine called HALT!  The certifier was 
an observer on the Allied Commissions of  Inquiry which issued 
the letter in 1948 and has testified to its authenticity in court on 
a number of occasions including the 1988 trial of revisionist 
publisher Ernst Zuendel.

The document is significant in not only what it says, but also in
what it does not say. It does not list any camps where the A.C. I. 
verified people were killed by poison gas.  The reason for this 
is -- according to Lachout -- in all instances investigated the 
gassing stories proved to be false.  Testimony of gassing at other 
locations were not investigated by the A.C.I. So it cannot be 
assumed such stories are true if those locations are not in the list 
above.  

Nor can it be concluded that all the uninvestigated gassing 
stories are false simply because all investigated stories were.
Nevertheless, this situation raises very serious questions  
regarding the credibility of such testimony.

The circumstances which produced the false tales of gassings at 
the camps listed in the Mueller document, abandoned stories
of RJF soap, lamp shades, and the long-forgotten pedal-powered 
brain-bashing machine also produced testimony and confessions
relating to gassings at the camps in Poland.  The two sets of 
stories are the offspring of common parents -- Allied war time 
propaganda and war crimes political show-trials.  If there is a 
difference, it is not one of quality.

Mr. Roessler:

In several trials as well in many studies it was proved, 
that mass-murders by gassings have taken place in several of 
the mentioned KZs.

Harry Mazal has posted recently some references about the mass-murders
of Soviet POWs with gas in Neuengamme. 

S.Klarsfeld has published a book with this title:

"The Struthof Album : study of the gassing at Natzweiler-Struthof of
86 Jews "whose bodies were to constitute a collection of skeletons: a
photographic "document ; Photogr.  with original captions of the Legal
Identification Regional "Department in Strasbourg / Presented and
comm.  by Jean-Claude Pressac.  Ed.  by Serge Klarsfeld.  - New York,
N.Y.: The Beate Klarsfeld Foundation, 1985.

If an Allied Commission established in 1948 that nothing like these
gassings took ever place in these KZs there should be preserved some
files, reports or whatever about the activities of this alleged
commission.  An oppression of these "results" of an inquiry can be
explained only by a wide-spread conspiracy, where even members of that
commission didn't speak out later about their investigations.  But
what is presented instead relies solely on one person, this Emil
Lachout.

The main problem, however, with E.Lachout's testimony in his own case
is very simple - there is NO documentary proof, that a military-police
service in charge of the security of the Allies existed in Austria in
1948.  The Allies, especially the 'Kommandatura' in occupied Vienna,
which was a four-sector town like Berlin, had only normal Austrian
police forces at hand.  There does not exist a shred of a document
about a Military Guard Battalion in Vienna, nor could Lachout provide
any further evidence, that a certain Major M"uller head of a "MPD"
ever existed, let alone this MPD as a whole.  Rather Lachout, born in
1928, could hardly have been Lieutenant in 1948.  In short, the
"document" is a bold fabrication - and rather stupid as that, because
it invents a complete military establishment which didn't exist in
Austria in 1948.  So, the main problem with the Lachout-"document" is
an intrinsical problem with "Revisionist" scholarship.

This is true. As long a historic incidence isn't investigated
nothing can be said about it with certainty.
But, in relation with this "document" none of these alleged
investigations can be proved, nor can be said anything 
about "stories" (which one?) being false at all, 
even if taking the "document" at face value.
We must conclude, however, that the investigations alleged 
to in the Lachout-"document" didn't take place or hadn't
the result alluded to in the "document" because the
main verifiable claims, existence of a complete military
establishment, in that document proved to be false, and nothing
more about these alleged investigations is said in the "document".

These questions are indeed very serious, it is only the
credibility of Lachout's testimony which should be questioned.

Here the "Revisionist" logic shows again. Completely unspecified 
"tales of gassings" alluded to in an obviously faked document 
are taken as "prove" that mass-murders didn't take place in
certain KZs while the mass of evidence about the crimes in these
camps isn't considered at all. Instead, what we have here is
again prove by invented conspiracy, based on fabrications. 

Most of the "Revisionist" ravings about fabrications, conspiracies and
myths should be taken as self-description of "Revisionist
scholarship".

is a fabrication. Is R.Faurisson for real?

The consistent refusal of "Revisionist scholars" to even acknowledge
the mass of evidence produced by scholars, in trials and by many
independent witnesses, let alone to try to justify why they may
disregard all these by vague alusions to some conspiracy must not be
taken simply as a whim of a certain esoteric strand of inquiry.  This
"scholarship" is instead a scarcely veiled insult.  And, given the
outmost severity of the subject, it must be taken as an assault on
truth.
