SS Lieutenant Colonel Witiska, commander of Einsatzgruppe H
in Slovakia, reports that 18,837 arrests have been made in
Slovakia to date; 9,653 of them were Jews, of whom 8,975
were deported to several concentration camps. He also notes
that American and British servicemen captured with the
insurgents are transferred to Mauthausen concentration camp.
