The Romanian administration did not investigate the cause of the explosion, but simply blamed it on the Jews and the Communists. Antonescu ordered that 100 Jews must be executed for every soldier killed, and 300 Jews for exach officer killed.(Carmelly, 80) Jewish businesses in Holland were forced to register, with the Nuremberg Laws defining "Jewish."
