1943

The Swedish radio broadcasts reports on the official Swedish
protest against the planned deportation of Denmark's Jews.
Next day foreign journalists in Stockholm report to readers
around the world on the deportation threat. (USHMM, 1993, p. 47)

October 2-3 (1943)

Throughout the Netherlands the families of Jewish men who
had been drafted for forced labor are sent to the Westerbork
internment-and-transit camp. (USHMM, 1993, p. 47)

1944

The uprising in Warsaw ends. (USHMM, 1994, p. 62)

Foreign correspondents tour the Klooga death camp in
Estonia. (Ibid.)

All but twenty prisoners are released from Banjica
concentration camp in Yugoslavia upon its evacuation. The
remaining twenty are deported the next day. (Ibid.)
