1941

Hitler appoints Alfred Rosenberg as Reichsminister for the
Occupied Eastern Territories. He is given a large degree of
control over the SS, including the power to reject summary
SS courts-martial decisions with respect to crimes committed
by non-Germans. (NCA II, 609-610)

1942

In Minsk, An SS Unterscharfuehrer reports that his unit excavated new pits
for mass burials.
