1942

Reserve Police Battalion 101 surrounded the village of Jozefow (Poland), 
rounded up its 1800 Jews, shot some 1500 of them on the spot, and shipped the 
able male survivors to work camps. (Browning, 2)

SS men and Ukrainian militia begin the liquidation of the
ghetto at Rowno. Hermann Graebe, manager of the Solingen
firm of Josef Jung in Sdolbunow, Ukraine, described the
action in document 2992-PS. (NCA II, 267-8)
