According to Eichmann's testimony at his trial in Jerusalem in 1961, the report prepared by Richard Korherr, Himmler's SS statistical expert, was used by Himmler and Eichmann in planning further stages of the "Final Solution." (USHMM 1993, p. 28) 1944 The Central Council of Hungarian Jews announces that it is the only Jewish authority in Hungary and will maintain all contacts with the Germans.
