The Nizkor Project: Remembering the Holocaust (Shoah)

Shofar FTP Archive File: camps//esterwegen/reference

A letter arrived in the mail which mentioned the former Esterwegen
concentration camp, located near the German border with the
Netherlands. The author mentioned that he had recently visited the
memorial museum at Esterwegen, and said: "The curator told me that the
Nazis put 30,000 German Army deserters into the extermination camp
site. All 30,000 were shot."
