Be sure that you have seen the movie Schindler's List , Schindler's List (or read the book, Schindler's List, by Thomas Keneally before departure. Though not exactly a historical document, it will ensure that we have a common starting point for discussion on the Holocaust. Other films that could provide good background, and that should be available at your local video store, include:

You are required to read any one of the following personal accounts of the Holocaust. Your experience with these books will be incorporated into the study program.

If you have already read one of these books, please make an effort to re-read it shortly before the trip.

If you would like to do any additional research to prepare for the trip, you may find that any of the following books will provide you with good background in the subject matter:
